The Stranger

Another walk down memory lane…

that gravel road full of hurt and pain.

I know the way to Eden is overgrown…

yet the road to nowhere always leads me back home.

When I blow out a candle the light fades way to fast…

there is power in the circle, can I take off this mask?

Life, love, open renewal – devotion, direction…it’s all just an illusion.

Strength, honor – protection, security…it’s ancient, it’s holy – it’s another delusion.

With his tongue of flames – and the warning of danger…

He’s a creature of the night…the malevolent stranger.
